Profile

Rahi Rahbari graduated in 2007 from Azad University, Iran and got his BSc in Civil & Structural Engineering with distinction. During his undergraduate studies, Rahi worked as a part time member of engineering office for Damoon-e-Kish Developer Group, and after graduation worked as a project manager for Ferdos Darman Tehran Co, Darya Pala Eng. Co. and then Arya Steel Co..

After gaining experience in Design & Construction, Rahi continued his studies by getting his MSc degree in Structural Engineering at the University of Sheffield. Currently, his PhD research is focussed on finite element modelling of steel connections and their behaviour under high strain rate and non-cyclic loads. These studies have been done on two type of connections Web Cleat and End Plate, under various loading rates and types. Results from these studies can help future investigations on collapse mechanism of steel frame structures.
