Darren graduated from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours in Civil and Structural Engineering. Before attending university he worked as a pipeline technician constructing offshore infrastructure, and has since worked on several consultancy projects at Coffey Geotechnics. He is currently doing research in coupling geomechanics and multiphase flow in porous media in view of recent carbon capture and storage initiatives.
